An interview with the new manger of OKAY Hostel Krakow

Today we had a chat with Andrzej, the new manager of OKAY Hostel Krakow, here's what he told us about this amazing hostel, let's see together why you should stay here on your holiday in Krakow!

What makes OKAY Hostel Krakow better than other hostels in the city of Krakow?

Okay Hostel is situated on Kościuszki Street, just at the Vistula River; you need only 15 minutes of pleasant walk along the river to reach Wawel Castle. The location is just perfect – close to the Old Town, but in a quiet and picturesque neighbourhood. We believe that NO ONE else has such a view from the windows. The communication to the most important places in Krakow is quick and easy – it is possible to reach Kazimierz Jewish Quater, Old Town, Main Station or the John Paul II Airport directly.

Our hostel is a very cozy place (6 rooms, 3 apartments) and we have some regular guests who keep coming back to us. We are doing our best to create friendly and enjoyable atmosphere here. We have the best young and energetic staff in Krakow. Our receptionists are cheerful, friendly and helpful in any difficult situation. Each Guest can count on fresh, delicious breakfast, prepared every morning. Affordable prices are just one of many advantages.

Are there any 2016 goals?

We are eager to improve quality of our services all the time, so it will be definitely a goal for 2016. We would also like to extend our offer and answer our Guests' demands better.

Where are your guests from? What do they appreciate the most?

We host people from all over the world, so it is difficult to say. We have many guests from Poland, as well as from other european or non-european countries. What they value the most, is our superb location, modern furnishing and amazing atmosphere.

Thanks to our efforts every Guest has a chance to see the most magical places in Krakow – we always give some sightseeing tips and recommend the best things to do. We are doing our best to provide our Guests the most amazing experience which they can remember for a long time. And, according to our satisfied customers' opinions, we do our job!

Do you have any tips for travellers on a budget arriving to Krakow?

First of all – grab some polish cash, especially coins before you arrive to Poland – it is quite useful. You will need it to buy tram or bus tickets. If you want to save some money to buy souvenirs for your friends rather than spend all cash on entrance tickets, you should consider buying KrakowCard. It is a convenient feature that allows you to enter the most popular museums of Krakow and provides you with access to public transport. It's a great value for money!

What is the best moment to visit Krakow? Is there any special event you’d like to recommend?

Every moment is good to visit our magical city :) During winter you can enjoy amazing wievs from Kościuszko Mound or Wawel. It is also possible to do a one-day excursion to Zakopane and do some skiing or just relax in Thermal Pools.
