07/15/2015

Hola Madrid, hola Spain! Here's where to wine, dine and rest your feet on a budget #LocalTipsHC

The fascinating and vibrant city of Madrid is one of those destinations that never sleeps. Going out with your local friends means having a dinner and staying up late in the night of the madrileños. And since we all love to eat and also talk about food, we discovered a few great examples where to eat on a budget like a local in Madrid.

As a part of our #LocalTipsHC article series, meet our expert Lauren Marinigh, a Canadian top blogger who's the author behind Twirl The Globe travel blog. Having previously lived in Madrid, Lauren knows the culinary capital of Spain as her own pockets. We asked for her best local tips where to eat on a budget - and here follows Lauren's favourite, recommended places to eat out:

WHERE TO EAT ON A LOW COST IN MADRID

1. Indulge in all the tapas bars in Madrid. Many places offer you free tapas with the purchase of a drink. This can be a cheap way for you to get filled up, try traditional Spanish food, and keep within your budget.
