Amsterdam

Amsterdam NYE

Go to Amsterdam for spectacular celebrations – think street parties, DJ sets and fireworks illuminating over the canals. Head over to Westerdok for the midnight countdown, and dance the night away at the VOC-ship for free.

For the best views of the fireworks, head to Amstel River or Nieuwmarkt, and grab some beers along the way.

Where to stay:

Stay in a clean, attractive hostel in Amsterdam city centre for under 30€ per night. Hang out with fellow travellers before heading out for a night of beers, cocktails and vodka shots.

If you can get out of bed the following morning, then why not go cycling around Amsterdam using hostel bike rentals?

Prague

Arrive early at Charles Bridge if you want a spectacular view of the fireworks. Drink some of the world’s finest beers while mingling with locals in the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. Prague's pubs will be open late afterwards with plenty of clubs booming into the small hours.

Where to stay:

You can sleep cheap in Prague city centre on New Year’s Eve if you book in advance. Hang out with fellow travellers before making your way to the Vltava river and watch the fireworks brighten up the city.

London

Celebrate New Year along the River Thames as London puts on a massive fireworks show that will fill your Insta with magic. Always a spectacular destination to visit, the UK capital is cheaper than ever before with the pound down against both the Euro and Dollar.

If you want to enjoy a champagne lifestyle on a cider budget, then New Year’s Eve in London is your best chance of success.

Where to stay:

We have some fantastically clean and stylish hostels in all corners of the city. From hipster Shoreditch to traditional Notting Hill, there are budget rooms and dorms available for everyone in London.

Berlin

With its vibrant atmosphere and open air raves, Berlin is a 24-hour-party city that sparkles with energy. Head out to Brandenburg Gate and mingle with locals for the New Year countdown, afterwards jump onto the U-bahn and head over to Kreuzberg or Neukolln for the clubs.

Where to stay:

Berlin is full of designer hostels, especially in Mitte, Charlottenburg and Kreuzberg, and almost all of them are available for under 30€ per night.

When the bells chime at midnight, you will see the city illuminate with deafening pyrotechnics. Once it’s over, head over to Las Ramblas and party until the small hours, with many bars staying open until 5 am.

Where to stay:

Check into a Barcelona hostel for New Year’s Eve and save a fortune on your accommodation costs. If you're staying for a few nights, then hang out with travellers from all over the world and enjoy cheap drinks and free Wi-Fi throughout your stay.
