You want to feel local in Paris? I will show you how!

You think Paris is too expensive destination? Well, it really depends on what you choose your means(。・ω・。)ノ♡
A staff from Hostelsclub.com actually stayed at Beautiful City Hostel and had a 1-hour-long interview with the manager, Sylvie. She welcomed our staff and they had a real chat about life, tourism and travelling!
Q1 Can you tell me a little bit about your hostel?
A1 This hostel is a brand-new hostel. It is very clean, economical and friendly. We also offer free breakfasts, free sheets and free WIFI.It's very convenient location because this hostel is close to the Belleville metro staion. So you can go to the main touristic attraction in Paris easily. Also, in this area you can find the local supermarket, hairdressers and coin laundries. You can travel Paris like "YOU ARE LIVING HERE."

Q2 What is the difficulty managing a hostel?
A2 Everything lol The number of hostels in Paris is increasing and the competition is getting always intensive. Customers expect to pay less and expect to receive more services lately. It's tough. I have to organize this hostel well, manage staffs and also do marketing successfully. But we all try to fulfill customer's expectations as much as possible.
Q3 What is the symbol of this hostel?
A3 There is a yellow bulldog at the entrance. He is getting famous and popular, so customers take pictures when they checkout. Please come and take pictures with him when you come (。・ω・。)ノ♡
Q4 Are you from Paris?
A4 I was born in a city that is very close to Paris, so please ask me anything about Paris!
Q5 Have you been in the hotel industry for a long time?
A5 Yes, I have been working for the hotel industry for 20 years. I used to work at a small hotel before and I know how this industry works. This industry demands a lot of dedication and effort. A lof of things have been changing this over 20 years. Travelling itself is changing. Things are getting more online-based and people travel lightly.
Q6 When is the moment when you feel happy while working?
A6 When people check out and go back home satisfied. With this job, I can meet different type of people from all over the world. I can exchange information with people, and share our memories and experiences. I also feel happy when I can help people who were in troubles. It's also nice to see when people leave good comments about this hostel.
Q7 How has your experience working with Hostelsclub.com?
A7 I would say Hostelsclub.com is very friendly and kind. When I went to Venice, the president of Hostelsclub.com offered me a free stay in Venice. I feel that Hostelsclub.com gets close to customers and properties. One time Hostelsclub.com did a contest which people can choose to stay either in Paris or Venice. I said I can help host those winners and they stayed at my hostel. Hostelsclub.com always offers something to customers and they are trying to be fun and friendly. I really like that.
Q8 Do you have any project coming soon?
A8 Yes we are planning to renovate and we might be closed temporarily. We will update you on that! Stay tuned!
