This year our great event took place at the Generator Hostel Venice where partners from all over the world enjoyed cool and brand new design. For its design the Generator Hostel Venice took inspiration from Venice's artistic flare and romantic allure: original wooden beams, worn metals, stylish and intriguing fixtures and fittings. Its location on the island of Giudecca offers amazing views of the "Sestieri" and the Laguna and many hostel managers took a chance to visit the hostel, see its rooms and modern and stylish shared facilities.

The highlight of the event was the live performance of Furio, a member of the famous Venetian band "Pitura Freska" (Wet Paint). Pitura Freska is a reggae music group formed in Venice in 1989. Their greatest hit, "Papa Nero" (Black Pope) even made it to the 1997 Sanremo Music Festival. Furio performed with their repertoire in Venetian language, as well as in Italian and entertained us and all our partners, who were curious to know what their songs were about.
