Hostels with Free WiFi in Central London

01/18/2016

Looking for a central hostel that offers free WiFi in London? Here are some examples!

The value of free Wi-Fi in hostels should never be underestimated, so we've brought you a list of conveniently located central London hostels that include Wi-Fi in their room prices.

You might think it's a normal fact of life that all hostels offer free Wi-Fi, but this still isn't the case. Even the cosmopolitan city of London, which is usually one step ahead of the world, only has a few hostels that include internet connection in their prices.

So in this article we tell you about London hostels that do offer free Wi-Fi. And what's more, they're all located within the city centre, so you're not going to find yourself in a hostel with free Wi-Fi, but stuck out in the suburbs.

THE PUBLOVE HOSTELS

All of the beautiful and well-used hostels in the PubLove chain are popular with backpackers. Hostels in this chain include PubLove @ The White Ferry, PubLove @ The Crown, PubLove @ The Exmouth Arms, PubLove @ The Steam Engine, PubLove @ The Great Eastern and PubLove @ The Green Man. All enjoy great central locations and feature bars where you can spend your evenings with friends.

THE CLINK HOSTELS

As well as offering free Wi-Fi, the Clink London hostels, Clink261 and Clink78, are also located near King's Cross Station, where the fictional Platform 9¾ was made famous by the Harry Potter books and films.

Clink78 has two other claims to fame, it is housed in a former courthouse where members of the band, The Clash, stood trial and where Charles Dickens worked as a court clerk.

Do you want to know why it's called the Clink? Because that's the onomatopoeic sound the cell door makes as it is closed.....intriguing, no?

PALMERS LODGE HOSTELS

The Palmers Lodge hostels, Swiss Cottage and Palmers Lodge - Hillspring, aren't exactly in the centre of London, but we decided to include them in our list of London hostels with free Wi-Fi anyway, because they're beautiful buildings with excellent transport connections to the city centre.

The London Underground whisks you directly from Swiss Cottage to Oxford Street, where you'll discover great shopping!

THE LONDON EYE HOSTEL

The name of The London Eye Hostel already suggests its location! This hostel has extremely fast Wi-Fi connection and is located just 15 minutes walk from Big Ben. If you think its address means it's going to cost a fortune, then think again - it is less than 20 euros a night!

SAFESTAY HOSTELS

The Safestay chain has created its hostels within historic buildings. Its first hostel dates back to Georgian, early 19th century, London, while the second is in a more recent building dating from the 1950's.

Stayokay

Both hostels have spent a lot of thought and time on their furnishings, designing attractive and modern environments. Safestay London Elephant and Castle offers free Wi-Fi throughout the building, while Safestay London Holland Park has free Wi-Fi only in public areas, but we don't think it will be long until free Wi-Fi will be extended to bedrooms also.

THE PRIDE OF PADDINGTON

The Pride of Paddington, truly is the pride of Paddington - so in naming it the owners were spot-on. The Pride of Paddington is also famous as a traditional pub and is located just a short distance from four London Underground stations.
