5 false facts about traveling

Who said traveling is expensive or boring?

For the love of seeking new adventures and learning new cultures and languages we collected here five common false facts about traveling:

1. TRAVELING IS BORING

Could be if you’re heading to the Canary Islands over and over again to the same hotel, same beach and hanging out only with people of your own nationality. Why don’t you twirl the globe around and travel next to the country where your finger points at? Getting out of your comfort zone may sound scary but in the end it’s refreshing to experience something totally new in a different environment.

2. GOING SOLO IS SCARY

You’re eager to explore the globe but got no like-minded travel partner? Now worries – stop waiting for a suitable friend and time and hit the road by yourself! Nothing is more rewarding than learning to cope on your own and besides new destinations, also discovering new sides of you. Moreover, when you travel alone you’re more bound to end up socializing with other similar solo travelers and in the end you’ll find yourself surrounded by awesome globetrotters.

Got a fear of flying? A research made by University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute has concluded that driving a car is far more dangerous than flying. In fact, there is a 65 times higher injury risk in driving compared to flying according to the research. Therefore airplanes are nowadays some of the safest places existing due to the several new safety features maintained frequently.

4. MOST HOSTELS ARE CRUMPY

…said no-one ever! This is a complete lie since today’s hostels are everything from well-designed boutique hostels to themed hostels and include amenities such as even their own movie theaters. The professional travel team of HostelsClub has had some of their best travel experiences while staying in hostels, where you can meet other like-minded travelers, learn new skills and overall get social in a relaxed atmosphere!

5. TRAVELING IS EXPENSIVE

Again, false! This depends a lot on how much you’re willing to take effort to search for affordable flights and accommodations. For example when staying in a hostel or a budget hotel you can save a whole lot of money and spend them on other things on your journey.
