About The Canmore Hotel Hostel
This property helped mold and shape this town what it is today, this the 2nd oldest still operating hotel in Alberta, the first female (Mary Roddah) in Alberta maybe even Canada to ever hold a liquor and or business license happened all here as her husband Alfred the owner of this wonderful died and she took it on with RCMP and the town (coal miners and rail workers) supporting her for this milestone and monumental moment in history for women and this town to be apart of that and carry on!
The iconic Canmore Hotel has been around since 1890, ’The Ho’ was notorious for its wild parties and the hotel above it was the place to recuperate afterwards.

Our rooms come in categories of private with private washroom attached. Private with shared washroom and shower facilities. We offer 3 types of private rooms, 1xKing OR 1xQueen OR 2xSingle Beds. We also offer dorm rooms in categories of 6, 7, and bed 8 . Dorms are available in female only and mixed gender options. All rooms are provided with linen towel and pillow. No air conditioning, and in the process of making a Tv room.
