Room types
Bigallo Hostel offers 3 accommodation type:
- double rooms with private bathroom
- Large dormitory with 2-beds wooden boxes (like in the monks tradition)
- Luminous and spacious dorms with 5 up to 8 beds
Local craftsmen have designed the decor inspired by the typical beds taken from the paintings of the Renaissance. Each bed has a locker space that can be closed with your own padlock. Each dormitory has a shared bathroom + shower. Breakfast(7.30-9.30) and linen are included in the price.
Location and surroundings
Hostel Bigallo is located in a beautiful and quiet countryside, in the middle of a typical Tuscany hills setting. At only 3 kms away there's the little town of Bagno a Ripoli, offering many shops, supermarkets and good restaurants. The closer bus stop is about 1 kilometer from the hostel.
Bigallo is also a great base to visit Tuscany: Florence City Center is 10 kms away, Chianti wine district 15/20 kms, San Gimignano 45 kms, Siena 60 kms, Pisa 100 kms.

Bigallo Hostel has a beautiful garden and a panoramic terrace overlooking Florence and along with various common areas for meetings, workshops and other activities it is an ideal place to meet new friends and local people. A place where you can participate in the various events and cultural and social activities that we organize.

Amazing place with lots of history. Loved my stay and will recommend, but certainly doesn't feel like a hostel. Great experience tho, loved my stay!
It's the most amazing place in Florence! It's worth visiting! You should not skip it if you are in the area. The place can also be just visited, you don't need to sleep there. The staff was also extremely helpful, they offered us directions on how to get to Florence.
It is a great place to stay, pasta night is a must!!
My favourite hostel! I really love it here, this was my second time I stayed at Bigallo. Perfect location to relax, pick fruit in the garden, enjoy the view and go hiking. In the evening you can join the pasta night (really recommend it!).
