Room types
At Elefanti Hostel Catania you will find 25 beds, divided into 4 large rooms (from 2 to 10 beds) with air conditioning, heating and balconies that overlook the beautiful historic center with its beautiful plazas. The rooms are spacious with a lot of natural lighting and furnished with wooden desks, tables, chairs and lockers. Our bunk beds are extremely comfortable and have individual curtains for your privacy. We offer clean linens and rooms are cleaned everyday for you convenience.
Location and surroundings
Situated in the heart of the old town centre, the Elefanti Hostel Catania is only a few footsteps away from Catania striking cultural sights.
We are right next to the piazza Duomo, with its seven hundred year old palaces, the cathedral, the fountain of Amenano river , and the old fish market with its thousands of colours and intense smells.
And there’s much more to see nearby: Ursino castle, today host to the city museum but once the summer residence of the Sicilian King.

Reviews (9.5 Wonderful)
The curtains around the beds in the dormitory will render the hostel a bad name. Several persons cannot go into mixed dormitories unless these are very big and thus have social controll. (Saloon and dormitory can be changed in the Elefanti hostel)
This hostel was great in every way I remember. I genuinely enjoyed my stay.
I can't recommend Ostello degli Elefanti and Catania enough. I've never stayed in a Hostel before so I was a little unsure what to expect. The staff, the cleanliness and the location are all perfect to experience the beautiful city of Catania and the Sicilian culture.
Nice hostel in a pretty cool location. It's very central but therefore also a bit noisy. I had some trouble finding it. I would definitely go again!
We had a really nice stay in Catania. The staff was super friendly. The rooms are quiet big, the common room is very beautiful and they also have a fantastic roof terrace. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen but restaurant instead!
