The Camp is ideal place for nature lovers, adventurers and people weeping out for place to rest. Camp Encijan is one of the real oases of peace in the untouched nature. In addition, for those who want to explore Tara Canyon, world’s second deepest Canyon, and UNESCO heritage site this is the right place.
There are 15 mountain five-bed huts in the Camp with some 80 beds. These huts offer clean linen and towels, while bathroom is shared, but new and of adequate capacity. In addition two 4 bed bungalows offer more comfortable accommodation with all real apartment features (two two-bedrooms with clean linen and towels, kitchen, living room and bathroom). The Camp itself is rated with 3 stars (out of max 5) by National tourist association.
Location and surroundings
Camp is situated by the Tara River on its left bank, in Bosnia. Actually, it is the only camp on this river in Bosnia. Location itself is 40km south of town Foca and 15km from border crossing Scepan Polje, (border between Bosnia and Montenegro) in the very heart of Tara Canyon. Camp location is a starting point for most exciting rafting experience on this river. Camp is surrounded by thick oak and pine forest and is a true oasis of nature. The Camp offers many common areas. One main and five smaller terraces are at your disposal suitable whether you are individual or in a group up to 50 people. Also there is a bar with decent drink offer as well as a kitchen where our chefs prepare tasty meals. In addition to all of the above 300 yards long beach gives extra beauty to the campsite and during day hours is suitable for sunbathing and swimming. Activities as rafting, hiking, trekking, mountain climbing can be arranged with our staff.
