Beautiful Woljeong beach is just across the street from the guest house with 5 minutes walking distance!! Nearby things to see are Seongsan Ilchungbong(sunrise peak), Manjanggul(the longest lava tube in the world) which are designated as UNESCO World Natural Heritage.
I loved to stay at Joesphtree Guest House, the family that lives there was so friendly and helpful. I went Paragliding, and the owner drove me back and forth and actually climbed the mountain with me so he could take my picture. Its close to a nice beach, but far from the city. It doesn't cost much in a taxi though.
Location is a big thing, but the JosephTree tour took us through the Olle courses that we wanted to see anyway.
AND we got to eat at some sweet restaurants included in the 30,000 KRW tour.
Staff and many of the visitors spoke English well.
