About Hostel Puffin
Our location offers excellent opportunities for hiking, snowmobiling, glacier tours and birdwatching. During winter time stunning display of Northern Lights could be seen from our hostel.
Located in the heart of Vík, Hostel Puffin is a comfortable and cozy place. The hostel offers simple sleeping bag accommodation in 11 private twin rooms with shared facilities.

Room types
Hostel Puffin is located in a charming house that has a lot of history to it, as it is one of the oldest buildings in the village. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with cooking facilities, big communal dining hall and shower facilities. The rooms are located on the second and third floors. They are small, but with good beds. Pillow, sheet and towel is included in the price. Extra linen can be hired additionally. All rooms can be locked.
Location and surroundings
we offer a simple menu of home cooked meals during winter time. Group Menus are available all year on request.
We are situated only a short walking distance from the picturesque black sandy beach and the famous volcanic columns Reynisdrangar. Supermarket, bank with ATM Tourist Information Center and the swimming pool is also within walking distance from the Hostel.

Please note that breakfast is not included when staying at Hostel Puffin but can be added to reservation for ISK 1600 per person.
Single supplement is extra ISK 2000.
