The hostel is clean and the owners are very kind. It is simple but cheap and has all the necessary. So, very good proportion price/quality. It is half an hour distant from the center (by foot) but it is near to the beaches and university.
We stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2008. The room was basic but clean with a TV and fresh towels daily. OK for seasoned budget travellers.
had been in room n.3 for 2 persons. Doors were somewhat frail but Santander is a very safe place from my experience. Lights in the bathroom didn't always work properly. Reception was overall good; i'd say professional. Sheets and cushions were clean, for the most part. Location in my opinion was very good; bus stop in front apart,since busses are a little expensive, by foot (passing through an absolute safe and clean underground tunnel) it was 8 minutes from the center of the city and 5 from Sardinero beach.
