A very basic hostel, but the bedding was clean and the location amazing for the main square. Security is a little loose, but there always seemed to be a staff member by the door, even if his English was not great - all in all a top place to stay if you are looking for a cheap and basic stay.

Ventilation is a major problem in the bathrooms, and although it is cleaned daily by a nice woman who sings, it's almost unbearable to be in there. Small beds and noisy but a decent place. Great location. You will not be able to find it on your own, it is not marked, and the riad where you check in is on a different street, equally hard to find but at least it has a sign above the door. Beware if you book a room at the Riad Rahba you may not get it, they frequently overbook and then try and stick you in the hostel instead. Good bfast, eaten at the riad. The guard sleeps in the hostel too but is a nice guy. No single-sex dorm even though it claims so. One bathroom per floor, only two with Western toilets, sporadic hot water.

name speaks for itself! it really is right in the heart of the medina. Staff are brilliant, always on hand to help. However quite difficult to communicate in english, but if you know arabic or french you wont have any problems. I stayed in a 15 bedsit but there were only 3 of us sharing 1 shower and 1 WC between us. I dont know how it would have worked if the bedsit was max capacity. I didn't shave for my 4 nights in Marrakesh, bathroom doesnt have a mirror.

Great hostel right in the Medina. The staff were super helpfull and didn't make me pay for an extra night when i came in from Meknes at 3 am. also walked with me to find a cab for the airport the next morning. the rooms have character but it is kinda noisy. there are rosters near by and a mosque.

clean, well-situated youth hostel with no frills. that only one bathroom had a toilet seemed strange given the international student audience it tries to attract, but the free breakfast and internet at the lovely host riad more than made up for it.
