Friend's Amazon Guesthouse, Hostel in Manaus

Manaus Hostel is really good. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the other visitors as well. The hostel is close to everything you need.

We only needed the hotel for a few hours sleep before a very early flight. It was in a good location for us for seeing some of Minaus in the afternoon, so overall a good choice.

It was a nice hostel, very well located near the city centre and close to the harbour. But in some way it was too expensive. The breakfast wasn't so much, just one toast, a piece of melon, juice and coffee. Also the hostel wanted 5 reais, (about 2,5 U$ ) for WiFi-acess per day, 3Reais for a towel, and 5 Reais to watch for your luggage. And you couldn't let wash your laundry at the hostel.

Bathrooms very quite dirty und toilets regularly out of order. Kitchen is poorly equiped: hardly any knifes, forks, spoons, etc. Breakfast is alright (but always the same). Staff is rather unfriendly. But: Location ist great! Amazon Theater, supermarket and small restaurants all nearby.
