The rooms were quite clean - possibly because the hostel is in the middle of a remodeling project. (However, some messes in the hallways were somewhat questionable.) Also, the hostel is located very close to the Civic Center Plaza (farmer's market on Sundays), which is my favorite place in San Francisco. Given the somewhat sketchy reviews online and the location being in the Tenderloin, I was concerned with safety; however, I felt safe the whole time. Hostel staff were quite friendly. A decent option if you don't have friends to stay with or a social agenda.
The hostel has gone through a complete renovation and it looks amazing! I met some cool people and had a great time. The staff was also very friendly and they had lots of info on night life around the hotel and places to eat!
great hotel. I enjoyed my stay and the staff was very helpful with everything. Free internet was a lot of help. Very nice renovations and I will come and stay again.
