What makes us different? The biggest difference is our hostels were started by people just like you and are run by people with needs just like yours. So instead of coming home from school or your internship to an impersonal warehouse of beds, you feel like you're coming home - you're staying with people who fast become your friends; you cook with people from all over the world; you get to learn and experience the city first-hand with friends.
Duo Housing provides hostel accommodation in Washington, 15 minutes to the US Capitol. Rates include free bed linen, free bath towels and free use of lockable lockers. Guests can also enjoy the communal kitchen and the study area.

We have multiple room types, ranging from a 4-bed private dorm, all the way to a bigger, 12-bed mixed dorm!
Room rates include free bed linen, free bath towels, free maid service and a free lockable locker - bring your own lock!
Location and surroundings
We're located just 15 minutes to the US Capitol and just 5 minutes to Chinatown and are surrounded by cafés, stores, shopping, and nightlife.
Services and facilities
The living room (or social room) has a huge 42' flat-screen TV, all the premium cable TV channels, DVD player, and a phone to call anywhere in the continental US.
We have free coffee and tea as well as free kitchen utensils in our full kitchens, if guests would like to cook for themselves.
There's also free Wi-Fi, free Internet, free computer usage, free use of our Nintendo Wii and free house events!
Need some down time? There's a separate quiet study area, too.

| Cancellation policy | All reservations are charged 48 hours in advance of your arrival. If your credit card information changes please contact the hostel immediately. Any reservations with declined/expired credit cards are subject to termination. You must pay with a credit card. If you make a reservation that has a check-in date of less than 48 hours away, your credit card must be valid. If your credit card is declined upon processing (which happens within hours of your reservation being made), your reservation will be cancelled immediately. We have a 48hr cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night’s accommodation.In the event of a no show this property charges 1 night/s on customer's credit card |
| Special conditions | Guests are welcome to leave their luggage on their checkout date until 9:00 PM. A fee of $10 will be charged for any bag left after that time.
The hostel does not have the facility to take any cash whatsoever. You will not be able to check in unless you are paying with a credit card.
