ControVento is a brand new hostel in the heart of the historic center of Trieste, in the characteristic Cittàvecchia neighborhood. It has very bright private or shared rooms with a breathtaking view of the sea and a nice common area where you can have fun and meet the staff and other backpackers.

Room types
Controvento is a small and cozy hostel in Trieste and has 4 bedrooms: two 4-bed dorms (with bunk beds) and two double / triple rooms that can be shared or private. Each bed has its own power socket and a reading light, linen is included. All rooms have large lockers for storing luggage and towels can be rented at the reception. The bathrooms, one for women and one for men, are shared.
Location and surroundings
ControVento has a perfect location in the center of Trieste, all the main attractions are within walking distance. The Cittàvecchia district is 500 meters away from Piazza Unità d'Italia and the whole area is full of shops, bars and restaurants, but also ATMs, pharmacies and more. Nearby you can find interesting art galleries, museums (Revoltella, Sartorio, marine aquarium, Oriental art, Alinari Image Museum) and a beautiful exhibition hall, the "Salone degli Incanti".
Services and facilities
Our large common area is an open space with a sea view from which a lot of natural light enters. Here all guests can relax and meet new friends. There is also a nice fitted kitchen and a refrigerator for guests. Wi-fi is free and super fast throughout the hostel. Breakfast is included in the price.
