Discover St. Pauli district situated on Elbe river which has a tradition as a recreation and party center. It's also best known as Hamburg's red-light district and as the Kiez with a lot of bars and music clubs. Beatles lived in St. Pauli and played at the Star-Club before becoming famous, it is the best host sport for night life in Hamburg.

Great place, nice staff, cool location. Good place to meet other travelers. Only downside is no laundry service but there is a laundromat 5 minutes away. Easy recommendation.
