A&O Hostel Venezia Mestre 2 is a new property halfway between a hostel and a hotel: it has both private rooms and shared dormitories, all characterized by large open spaces, brightness, private bathrooms and all the comforts you could wish for. It is located in Via Ca' Marcello, a few steps from the Venezia Mestre railway station and from the bus stops that allow you to quickly reach the historic centre of Venice and the main airports in Treviso and Venice (Canova and Marco Polo).

Room types
A&O Venezia Mestre is a large hotel and hostel with over 280 rooms including single, double and private family rooms, and shared dormitories. All rooms have a modern design, ample space and offering a high level of comfort. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a hairdryer and toiletries. Access to the rooms is done via magnetic keys and there is a CCTV system to guarantee maximum security.
Location and surroundings
The location of the hostel and Hotel Venezia Mestre 2 is very strategic, just a few steps from the Venezia Mestre train station and the main bus stops in Mestre. This means that you can easily reach the Treviso "Canova" and "Marco Polo" Venice Tessera airports by shuttle bus. And with frequent trains and buses (even at night) you will be in the historic centre of Venice in around 10 minutes. There is a large supermarket nearby and many excellent bars and restaurants to dine in too.

Property well located and very clean. Supermarket very close. Problems: Front desk and bar understaffed (very long check-in waits); walls are thin; breakfast is expensive. Probably a better option than staying in Old Venice.
Not for everybody! I was here in August, so it was the hardest time for Venice. The hostel is ok. Very modern. It is near Mestre Station and there are a lot of people around, so you don’t feel lonely. But that is also the problem: it is not a quiet place - also not in nights. It is different to staying in Venice, although Venice has a good nightlife, but with more stil and better music. But the price was good - stayed in a female dorm - 1,50€ for oneway trip to Venice and there are buses all the night. So if you don’t need typical Venecian Nights, and if you like to meet sometimes great sometimes boring people, come and stay here in a dorm!
I was very impressed with AO Venezia. I hope I can stay there again someday.
fantastic hostel, new and spotlessly clean, really close to Mestre train station, opposite bus stop to go to Venice or you can go by train. very well equipped, kitchen, washers and dryers. breakfast well worth the €7
