We took the opportunity to ask some questions to Moises, Nest hostels manager, about traveling, about Spain, and about Valencia, his hometown, about his passion for backpacking and the hostel industry, are you ready?

1. If you had to describe Spain in 5 words, which would they be and why?

- Dream: to me when people get to Spain, their dreams come true, whether it is for its food, beaches, parties, relax, coasts, mountains, towns. All you can dream will be found at good prices in Spain.
- Happiness: any guest that I see and I speak with, have a higher % of happiness in their body than they had before getting to Spain. The temperature, the light, the street life are factors that give you that extra happiness.
- Wealth: Cultures, religions, architecture, gastronomy, festivities.
- Light: Only a few places in Europe you can travel with so many hours of daylight and sun; since the Egyptians, the sun was venerated for its strength and energy.
- Budget: You can travel throughout Spain by public transport, staying in Hostels, eating and drinking, for a cheaper price than it costs you in your home country.

2. What is the main difference between a hotel and a hostel according to you?
Atmosphere, human relations, the Hotels are sober, impersonal, the Hostels are close, friendly and focused on what the backpacker wants.

3. Can you describe the most important features of the Nest Hostel?
Location. All facilities are well located
Buildings. Every building has a cultural and architectural beauty load
Customer. Everyone in our team, from the CEO to the cleaning person, we are thinking of the best for our customers, fun, services, facilities etc.

4. Could you define the concept of backpacking?
Backpacking is changing. The idea of a person going for a year for all cities and hostels in the world has changed, there are not so many backpackers as before. Or maybe now they are more and they have dispersed. They have, so to say, evolved into a backpacker 2.0 or flashpacker. People no longer travel for 1 year, nowadays it is difficult to even see people who are more than 2 months on the road. On a time level the difference is clear, on a service level the difference is bottomless. Customers every day need more services, more facilities (ensuite rooms, bigger lockers, hairdryers, usb chargers, very powerful and free wifi, etc..). Just to give you an example, when we opened the doors of Red Nest Hostel in 2004, we had 3 MB wifi and it was enough, and today we have 100 MB and we are thinking about another 100, amazing.
The level of demand has risen, for the backpacker who stays with us, sleeping is not enough, he also wants to have fun, he needs activities, entertainment, etc.

5. Do you have a "must see / must do" list for Valencia?

In the historical part: the Central Market, the Lonja, Santos Juanes church... take a walk through the Barrio del Carmen, Plaza de la Virgen, the Cathedral, Miguelete and Plaza de la Reina.
In the new part: The City of Arts and Sciences, the hemispheric, Prince Felipe museum, L'Àgora...
At the beach: Malvarrosa Beach, Las Arenas and patacona Beach.

6. Could you give us 3 best places where to eat in Valencia?
My favorite is not really a backpackers' place, it's a place called Jomi, is a tapas bar in the neighborhood of Nazareth in Castillo de pop nº 13 street. If you like smoked fish, good tapas... that's the place, the waiters are genuine.
At the beach there is this place just to take a drink called "39º 27N", the view of Valencia bay is spectacular.
Then I'd recommend Restaurante "La Malaquita" in Calle Turia, which is a very basic site, with a spectacular kitchen, a few minutes walk from Barrio del Carmen neighborhood.
Finally, Restaurant "Alquería del Brosquil" A bit far from the city center, they have a spectacular duck rice.

7. If you were planning a trip as a backpacker, what requirements would you have for a hostel?
Location, minimum 84% rating. They should have activities and if I am traveling alone, nightlife.
