What to see and do in Belgium?

Belgium is a small country in Northern Europe with 10 million Inhabitants. Belgium is surrounded by the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg. Belgium is divided into three regions: the Flemish region where Flemish is spoken, The Walloon region, and the Capital region Brussels where they speak French. You can easily reach Belgium by train from neighbor countries, by plane with low cost companies, or by car.

Visit the Ardennes mountains (Ardennes) The Ardennes Mountains are in east Belgium. The green forest and mountains are a perfect holiday destination to go hiking, biking, canoeing or visit the caves of Han.

All aspects in one Because Belgium is so small you can easily get from one place to the other. You have the possibility to go to the mountains and go hiking, biking, canoeing etc or you can enjoy a day at the beach. And if you are more interested in culture and museums you can go visit its cities.

Come and see the famous “Manneken pis” You can find “Manneken pis” in Brussels.This is a famous landmark; a statue of a little boy peeing. Ghent is known as the flower city, every 5 year the famous 'Gentse Floraliën' (Ghent Flower Show) is held and attracts thousands of tourists. Each year a ten day festival is held named; 'Ghent Fests'.

Brussels the capital of Belgium also known as the capital of Europe because of the EU Headquarters. Brussels is known among students because of the late nights in the many hip night clubs. Besides clubbing is Brussels also known for shopping and of course “Manneke Pis”.

Antwerp famous for diamond shopping and shopping in general. Antwerp is a characteristic city with lots of arts, night life and nice restaurants.

Feel like being in three countries and speak Vlaams, German and French When being on Holiday in Belgium it could feel like you are in three countries at the same time. One part of the country speaks Vlaams (which sounds like the Dutch language), a small part of the country speaks German and the other part of speaks French. Throughout the whole country people can speak and understand French, as this is the country’s primary language.
