If you prefer original Austrian cuisine, go to Amerlingbeils (located on Stiftgasse 8) and enjoy typical home-made Viennese dishes. In the summer you can stay in their charming garden. One of Vienna's most beautiful places in the middle of the city park is a restaurant called Steirereck (Am Heumarkt 2 A). They prove that Austrian cuisine has much more to offer than just schnitzels!

You will find in Vienna is known for the best sweets in the world! Go to the café of world-renowned former chocolatier, Demel, which is located at Kohlmarkt 14. The adjacent coffee house offers freshly made pastries and you will have a hard time choosing between Sacher cake or their delicious apple strudel, for example. In the summer time on the streets of Vienna you will often hear: “Let's go to Tichy!”. Everybody in Vienna knows Tichy Ice Cream (Reumannplatzt 13) because they have the best ice cream in town since 1967. Kurt Tichy invented his most popular creation: apricot dumplings with ice cream inside called Eismarilenknödel – you absolutely have to try it!

If you are looking for something special, go to Volksgarten Clubdiscothek (Burging) – this club is an amazing venue for long party nights. You have to pay 11€ to get in, but you willbe rewarded with a view of sexy go-go dancers and great tunes provided by famous DJs and rappers.

Best Markets

The best place to find everything is Naschmarkt (Wienzeile) - is is largest Viennese market in the world and has a long tradition. On Saturday do not miss Fohmarkt am Naschmarkt (open from 6.30 am to 5 pm), another one of the mostly frequented flea markets to find some souvenirs from Vienna!

Finally to get a good night's rest in Vienna you will need to book a good yet economical place to sleep. Book at a hostel in Vienna and save money for more fun.
