Castles, Parks, Food, Museums and More!

What do you think of when you hear “Warsaw”? Perhaps many people wouldn’t have a specific image for the city, maybe just heard of Frederic Chopin or World War II, but actually you can discover lots of interesting things in Warsaw. It’s a city full of nature, culture, history, art, entertainment, and good cuisine! We’re sure that your perception of Warsaw will change after your trip!

First of all, you’ll be really surprised by many beautiful and huge natural parks are all over the city, especially Park Łazienkowski (Royal Bath Park) and Pałac Wilanów (Wilanów Palace). Park Łazienkowski is of the biggest parks in Warsaw and really nice to chill out and take in the nature walking through it and seeing some monuments, such as the statue of Chopin and Pałac Łazienkowski (Łazienki Palace) which is a palace on the water. The most recommended sight to experience is the “Golden Autumn” in Warsaw! If you visit this park in October, you’ll be surrounded by gold leaves of many different trees. It’ll also be nice to visit Pałac Wilanów in summer season. It’s known as the “Versailles of Warsaw”, a majestic palace with a huge garden decorated with plenty of colourful flowers!

However, we cannot forget about World War 2 when we talk about Warsaw. The Warsaw Uprising Museum reminds you the scars and what Polish people fought for in 1944. You can see all the history and memory in a very expressive and unique way, so you won’t be depressed but you’ll have new interests in this historical movement. Also they’re many legacies of the war in many places spread about the city. Warsaw is not a sad city at all. There’re also art galleries, fashionable stores, huge shopping malls such as Golden Terraces, posh restaurants, and cozy cafes, and so on. It’s a city full of modern life now! Another must see is Pałac Kultury i Nauki (Palace of Culture and Science). It’s one of old landmarks in Warsaw which Joseph Stalin gave to the Polish people in 1955. The view of the city, above all at night, from the top of the tower is just amazing! You’ll see the magical contrast of nature, old things and modern construction, which make up the current city of Warsaw. When you see Warsaw Old Town, you cannot imagine the changes. The cozy pretty colourful buildings don’t say much, however, you’ll hear that it had all been destroyed by the war and reconstructed by Polish citizens from ground zero after the war!

Finally, we must mention the wonderful Polish cuisine! Poland is a big country which has the sea and the mountains varying in rich foods such as fish, sausage, and one of the best vodkas (Must try Żubrówka). You cannot miss eating Pierogi, which is a typical Polish dumpling made of potato and cheese (Pierogi Ruskie), Sauerkraut, Mushroom, or whatever filling you want! If you’re really keen to try local traditional, cheap meals in Warsaw, you should get in some Milk Bars. Definitely it’ll offer you typical Polish meals in a very unique environment!

In the magical city of Warsaw, you’ll experience another world full of interesting things and you’ll get a totally different perception when you come back from Warsaw.
