Madrid Hostels

While booking your stay at a Madrid hostel, don’t plan every day of your visit. Madrid does have amazing attractions, including the Museum Triangle: Reina Sofia National Art Centre, Thyssen-Bornemisza and the famous Prada Museum, one of the most extensive art collections in the world. Other attractions include the elegant Royal Palace, colourful shows at Tablao Flamenco, Goya’s Tomb at San Antonio de la Florida church, Plaza Mayor and Puerto del Sol, the city’s best-known plazas, and Madrid’s celebrated green spaces, including the Royal Botanic Garden and the Parque del Buen Retiro.

The best of Madrid, however, is its mundanities. Take time just to stroll. Check out the architecture, ranging from a 12th century church on Calle de San Nicolas to the modern Puerta de Europa at Plaza de Castilla. Watch colourful, free-spirited Spaniards go by from one of Madrid’s many patios. Listen to street performers and soapbox orators. Ask locals about favourite restaurants – many have unique and sumptuous signature dishes.

Madrid is a city of living culture, and whether you’re in for all night fiestas or extended siestas there’s no better way to experience it than by staying at a hostel in Madrid.
