Our customers have decided that these ten hostels are the coolest and friendliest hostels in Germany. It was not easy to choose between all the great places in Germany between the 4 categories: staff, cleanliness, position and fun factor. However, thanks to the ratings and opinions sent by our customers, we made this list of most popular hostels in Germany.

1. Grand Hostel Berlin was voted for best 'Super Staff'. On top of that, Sandra from USA wrote: 'This might be the best hostel in the world. The breakfast/lunch buffet was fantastic, the room big enough and everything was spotless. Oh, fresh vases of flowers everywhere, too. This hostel is for people who are not looking for the crazy youth type hostel but for people wanting a great place, very convenient location and good price for seeing Berlin - not a big party type hostel with tons of noise.... perfect!'

4. Paulas Comfy Little Corner is a fantastic place to stay in Berlin, different from any other hostel. Here you can stay in the home of one of Berlin's famous hostesses. It’s like being part of the family of this extraordinary eccentric artist, writer and storyteller. Marina from Belarus said, 'It was a high recommendation of a friend that I booked in Comfy Corner. I really loved this place, very cute, very artists-oriented: you meet really wonderful people, musicians, writers and just nice people. And Paula does everything to make you feel at home. 5. Hamburg is an amazing city, and we are happy to have MEININGER Hotel Hamburg City Center, rated highest in the 'Clean and Cool' category. One satisfied customer wrote: 'Extremely clean hostel, how ever it is more like a hotel. It doesn't have a common room so the kitchen more or less was turned into the common area and was where I met a lot of people. Enjoyable stay!'. 10. Euro Youth Hotel in Munich is a very popular place and has a great location. Go there and feel like Kate from Australia who said, 'I absolutely loved this hostel - extremely clean, awesome staff and the position (literally 3 mins walk from the Central Station) was amazing. Great value and good fun with many city and beer tours left from the hostel bar downstairs!'
