Oct 18, 2009 - very nice place, much place to chill out, clean and perfect for a stay in NY
Sep 11, 2009 - The hostel is quite big, therefore there is a little lack of character but however this brings a lot of advantges, if you are travelling alone you will sure meet some people you can spend some time with!the hostel itself offers some tours and clubbing possibilties, this is very nice, you can meet a lot of people through these and also get to know the city better.
the rooms where clean and nice, however they had no airco, which is a little minus with 30 degrees outside and 12 girls sleeping inside. the beds where comfy and clean. one little minus where the bathrooms, becaues they are renovating right now, they where little overcrowded in the mornings and not clean after some hours... anyhow i would have expected worse for the price, so i really was okay with that.
the hostel is located one block away from line 1 which brings you basically everywhere, so no problem with the uptown location at all, and the area seemed to me pretty safe, had a lot of stores and restaurants.
if you would ask me for a cheap possibility to stay in manhattan i would recommend hostelling international.
Sep 09, 2009 - This hostel is ideally located one block from the subway on the 1 line which takes you directly to Times Square, and runs down Broadway. There is a deli and Chinese Takeaway opposite, so you won't go hungry, and plenty of evening events such as club nights to keep you occupied. Would definately stay there again!
Jul 10, 2009 - I stayed for one night and I would recommend it.
