Sep 13, 2009 - Very stuffy, no air circulation inside. Bathrooms very dirty, kitchen stinky. Right across from the arches, pretty central to the downtown nightlife, but looks scary at night as a lot of homeless people sleep right across, under the arches. Staff was nice.
Apr 12, 2009 - The Pousada Samba Villa is right in the middle of Lapa which is one of the main party areas of Rio. If arriving at night, it is a little scary but don't worry. We were amazed that it is still so quiet inside. The staff is relaxed and nice. There is a computer for free internet but it had a nasty virus that made it almost impossible to use. When we were there, they were just building some sort of bar in the entrance area which appeared to be nice. Good bargain if you want to meet nice people.
Jul 19, 2008 - I think the relation between the money I paid and the service I was offered was ok. But the receptionists should have known more about the city to give us more complete information on how to get to places!
Well... it's worthwhile staying there.
