Sep 19, 2009 - Staff efficient & helpful. Location is good as it is close to buses for the centre of Rome.Good meeting place for older people only to meet people of different nationalities.Young people tend to travel in groups, so my son and daughter were not able to mix.Hostel in desperate need of care! Doors off hinges, few loo seats, few shower curtains, quite run down as a building.
Aug 12, 2009 - The hostel was reasonably clean but there were often long queues at reception, for instance it took us 45 minutes to check in. Also, the free breakfast was terrible.
May 30, 2009 - Rooms here are clean and spacious. Bathroom and toilets are basic but ok. I had the impression that they were cleaned on a regular basis. Like, daily or even more than once per day. Staff is not over friendly but they are willing to help. Also, this hostel is relatively quiet. No loud guests during our stay...

Jan 02, 2009 - I didn't like the hostel, sincerelly. First because of the guy who did the check-in, it took 1 hour counted on the clock!
Second: The breakfest is awful
Third: The showers are bad
You should meet Hello BCN in Barcelona...THAT is a hostel...common area, a bar, gentile staff a breakfest with Nutella, lots of kinds of breads and Minute Maid Mais juice to take without limits...coffe and cappucino for FREE...and it is CHEAPER than YHA

May 02, 2008 - I moved to Rome for work and while looking for a room, I stayed in this hostel. I spent 11 days here. I must say that I saw better hostels for that price but after all it was not bad at all. The staff was nice, the location is so-so but well connected to the "popular and interesting" parts of the city, it's pretty safe and enough clean. Every extra is kind of expensive but that's fine. The staff working at the cafeteria should talk more in English, to foreigners..it was not my case (I'm Italian) but it's rude and rough to talk in Italian to foreigners.
Also, there are too few power sockets! But anyway I would definitely go back there. Fair enough

Jan 20, 2008 - Remote, but good public transit. Cleaned well and clean sheets, but worn-out, out-moded facility and soiled pillows/matresses. Toilets need seats, showers need curtains. Staff professional/resourceful, but bureaucratic, extra charges for lockerroom, and anything beyond drink and slice of bread for breakfast.
Price is fine for capital city, but Rome needs a new facility at standard of newer Italian hostels.
