Sep 29, 2009 - I have stayed at a lot of hostels hotels and this one takes the cake. The facilities were fabulous, but the reason why this hostel gets an A++++++ is the staff. They were so friendly, energetic, and extremely helpful. The word No was never a part of their vocabulary. In the future when I stay in Koln, I will stay at Meininger. Mar 30, 2009 - Good hostel in an exellent neighbourhood with nice café just around the corner. Good breakfast and not-too-noisy dormrooms, I think it's a good choice for a city-trip to Cologne and will definately keep it in mind for my next trip.
Nov 16, 2008 - Great location, nice bar, perfect showers. Bed was a bit squirky, and the cheap breakfast was pretty simple, but if that's all there is to it, then I guess it's a really good hostel and you shouldn't hesitate to go there.

Sep 17, 2008 - This hostel is a little far from the station and a little hard to find from the map and the guidance. And I had to make bed by myself.
But staffs were very kind then I didn't have any problem.
I really say thank you to staffs in this hostel.
Aug 14, 2008 - only complaint is one bathroom for 8 people is a little cramped. A shared bathroom in the hall in addition would solve that problem easily enough.
