Dec 04, 2009 - A fine little hotel, very close to St Mark's square, with clean facilities, hot water and helpful staff. Well worth the money for Venice.

Oct 05, 2009 - My mum had a frosty encounter with one of the staff at breakfast which didn't go down well. I think the hotel is very good for young people rather than the mature generation and it is well situated in Venice.
Sep 22, 2009 - Very nice hotel, excellent value, staff were very very helpful and friendly. Good location too, literally just a few minutes walk to St Marks square. A great stay!
Sep 12, 2009 - Not the cutest place in the world, nor the quietest, but it was very safe, and in a great location. We had a great time there and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast lady had quite the temper, but it was funny, though I am sure she was offensive to some.

the room was ok. the bathroom was a bit moist and smelly, like everywhere in venice. the breakfast was very poor.
the staff was nice, but a bit slow at setting the breakfasttable. alltoghether the astoria has a great price performance ratio for a hotel in venice.
Aug 30, 2009 - i booked a room in a shared room (2 bed) but ended up having the room for myself which was nice. the staff was helpful (the macedonian guy, if i recall it correctly), he helped me with my booking in padua. the room was good enough, considering the price that i paid (37e). location was perfect. i did not have breakfast since i had to go early, so no comment on that. i will stay in this hotel again.

Aug 24, 2009 - Free breakfast was nice though it didn't taste great. Perfect location to be close to St. Mark's square - which you will want to be. It was one of the few clean places we stayed at in all of Europe. Very nice room.
