Jul 05, 2009 - Very nice little hostel, near Kensingtons Gardens. The rooms are a bit small but everyone can fit in here and it's a very "charming" place (we say "charmant" in French to say that it has a great "personnality").
I spent 2 nights there, the first was awful and I couldn't slept because of 2 peoples in the room making noise and the windows open on the street from which you can hear every sound of the street. The second night (in another room) was very good, so I guess I was unlucky the first. The breakfast is included and just right. The neighbourhood is very nice and you're close to Bayswater or even Paddington station. I would come back for sure !
Oct 13, 2008 - very nice staff, bit noisy at night at least when I was there... but nice staying, peaceful surroundings.
Aug 29, 2008 - i was originally booked into the mixed bed dorm which was not to my liking as quite small and basic. A male australian member of staff was happy to upgrade us to the hotel private room which i thank he dearly for. He was very helpful throughout our stay. generally, all the staff were pleasant including cleaning staff. Thank you again. my only comment of improvement would be for hot breakfast to be available.
Aug 24, 2008 - The rooms were narrow and tickets for Madam Tusseauds didn't exist.
But the place of the hostel in London was very good.
Jun 21, 2008 - The breakfast was terrible, and short time to eat. Very clean.
May 04, 2008 - We had a good time at the hostel and next year we'll probably come back to the same place. It was clean, the beds were made up each day. What bothered us were too loud neighbours coming in and out late at night, laughing or watching TV loudly. Most of the staff was kind, they assisted us if we had a problem. The position of the hostel is ok, since the tube is near. And it's also near the Hyde Park, where you can go for a walk.
Apr 21, 2008 - My only complaint is that the room was verry hot and we couldn't open the window. The staff was all very nice and there was a little pub downstairs with very cheap drinks! Also the location couldn't have been better. We walked everywhere and didn't take the Tube a single time during our visit! Hyde Park is gorgeous and huge too!
Apr 19, 2008 - Will be coming back for sure! Handy for crashing after watching gigs in London when you live far away!
Feb 24, 2008 - Was a good hostel to stay in, the room for 6 people i stayed in was a bit small, but ok. Good access to buses.
