Apr 17, 2008 - Very nice reception.
Aug 30, 2007 - Luxurious bathroom and dorm - affordable prices - close to main railway station, which on the other hand is situatued in Nathan Road. Funny HongKong staff. it was my first night in a hostel, and i had fun.
Aug 13, 2007 - Honestly, the room was comfortable but smelled of cigarettes.
Also, the proprietor is a bit abrupt.
May 13, 2007 - Tai Wan Hotel is indeed a hostel for the budget traveller. Everything is kept to the minimum, and you'll only be provided with the bare essentials. The building it is located in (Chungking Mansions) has a rather complicated environment, and it is advisable to have a male partner with you when you enter and exit the building. The staff are really warm, friendly and helpful though, especially Mrs Lee who assisted us tremendously throughout the trip. Thank you so much Mrs Lee!
Feb 15, 2007 - very nice hotel with friendly owner and good location. I recommend it.
Feb 10, 2007 - location is excelent, room was clean and the staffs are all very kind! I will recommend anyone to stay here.
Feb 10, 2007 - Very safety and very good attention, clean, look like a three star hotel. Good staff service.
Jan 26, 2007 - The staff was friendly , the room was clean, and the locations is very good.
Mar 07, 2006 - it was cheap, very basic
the location is great
Jan 07, 2006 - It is a very nice price hostel. The location is excellent, middle in the downtown and right next to subway. Hostel is also a so called 'hour hotel', may be for lover's emergency relief for sex. Not sure if pillows and blackets washed before you check in. Located in a multicultural complex, elevator too small for luggages. Be careful being cheated by strangers downstairs. Strange calls ringed 3 different times at night, hardly to sleep. One false fire alarm really scare me for 2 minutes before I jumped out around 10AM. Otherwise
prices for rental and shopping around in this area are unbeatable. Staffes are very nice too!
