Oct 26, 2009 - we spent 7 nights in Albergue Fernando and it's a fine hostel! what we liked most: the position is great, on Ferran Street, which is one of the most beautiful streets near la Rambla, breakfast was more than fine, gave you quite a few options - meat, cheese, butter, jam, milk, sweets, drinks and it is served in a very nice space. first 2 nights were in a double room and i have to say it's way better than the dormitories, but still the hostel was comfortable enough and clean. it doesn't have a lot of common areas though, so it doesn't give you the opportunity to socialize a lot and meet people. perhaps some thematic evenings (special dinner, a cooking class etc.) in the place where breakfast is served would give the place some more friendliness. all in all, a quite neutral but good quality hostel.
Sep 30, 2009 - This Hostel is realy central in Barcelona. Breakfast was better than any other hostels in Spain. I think It is a bit expansive. Officers were helpful. Thats it..I suggest to stay there.
Sep 18, 2009 - We stayed at the hostel for a week and liked it very much. We were surprised about the cleanliness and the new and furnishings in the room. Breakfast was good and enough. Staff friendly and helpful. We would recommend it without any reservations!
Sep 14, 2009 - Extremely important and excellent characteristic: the Fernando is a really very clean place. The service is very correct and assertive and the location is brilliant.
We had two drawbacks and that is a noisy air conditioning and that the mattress was worn out.
You get a very good room for this price.

Jun 11, 2009 - We had a great stay at Fernando's. Very clean rooom (double room with bath) and friendly staff. Internet access (€1 for 30 minutes) and small snacks available in the lobby. The common room is a bit dull, but there's no need for in-house entertainment anyway. Fernando's is literally within a few seconds walk from the bars, shops and restaurants.
