Mar 05, 2009 - this place is amazing!!ít's soooo close to everything and the life of edinburgh. right when we checked in the lady at the desk gave lots of advice and was amazing, there's lots of brochures too, the free walking tour meets 2 minutes down the road, and its 7 minute walk from the train station. it's also in one of the sweet old buildings of the city so that's sweet! we stayed in a room of 16 but it was totally fine and there was lots of space so it wasn't crowded in the least! good good stay, i'd definatly go back

Jun 01, 2008 - You know what they say... 'location, location, location'! High Street Hostel is right on the Royal Mile and is a great stay for anyone wanting to be in the centre of Edinburgh.
It's big, bold and noisy; don't come here if you want a quiet night of restful sleep. It's fun and relaxed and right across the road from the Haggis Office which is great if you're joining a tour. Highly recommend.

Mar 02, 2006 - I've been to a quite a few hostels around Europe but am telling you,High street hostel in great. Very clean, the staff are welcoming. They make one feel at home. The fun is there is in full swing. Generally i highly recommend High street hostel to everyone wishing to visit Edinburgh. Please keep it up.
