Apr 26, 2009 - It's a great place to stay! Nice staff, clean rooms. And the position speaks for itself. The possibility to lock your stuff away under your bed is a big plus!! I would come back. :)

Apr 16, 2009 - Excellent location, 5min walk to tube station therefore very easy to get into central london. Supermarkets located near by, kitchen well equiped - except for cups, and stoves didn't work to well if at all. Staff we very friendly as was everyone else in the hostel. Only problem was having to move rooms half way through our stay because there had been a mistake made in the allocation of the rooms, so it was a bit incovenient to have to pack up all our things and move.
beds, showers and toilets all clean.
Overall a wonderful stay, would definately stay here again :)
Apr 16, 2009 - The staff, especially the day-time receptionist, were extremly friendly and helpful. The hostal is very central, located near a main bus terminal and 2 underground lines. Excellent breakfast!! I would definetly return here

Apr 12, 2009 - No vayan a hostales del Astor. La reserva me la hicieron para el año siguiente, por error suyo. Y no me daban soluciones. La$ solución que me dieron era que me buscara la vida o que me cambiase todos los días por diferentes hostales (el check-in sería a las 14 cuando el check out es a las 11, tres horas tirados con las maletas, además de pagarnos nosotros los taxis o transportes para movernos). Mañana ire a la oficina de turismo en España para reclamar el dinero de la fianza que no me quisieron devolver. Donde se guardan las maletas no tienen ningun control, te dan la llave y buffet libre llevate lo que quieras. El suelo es negro de la basura que tiene y los sillones estan cubiertos por telas rancias llenas de polvo. Las estanterías con libros llenas de polvo y la recepción y su internet pesimos, internet super lento. He escuchado lo de la limpieza pero para nada de limpio

Die Leute waren sehr, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!!!
Zimmer und Dusche/WC klein, aber sauber.
Bus 24 fährt 24 Stunden, 2 Tube-Stations (Pimlinco + Victoria) gleich in der Nähe.
Ideal für Backpacker ...

Dont believe, it smelled really bad and a lot of mushrooms on the walls and curtain. also the beds are not really clean. breakfast? yeah, there is some, a few slices of bread, jam and cornflakes.thats what they call high standard breakfast. definetly cant recommend this place... dirty, old and disgusting, sorry!on top of this, they gave us old, unusable money back...
Mar 19, 2009 - Die Lage ist sehr gut. Es gibt viele Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten. Buckingham Palace, Tate Gallery und Houses of Parliament ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Gute Busverbindung mit der Buslinie 24, die 24 Stunden in Betrieb ist. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Das Bad und Toileten waren nicht immer unbedingt sauber. Toiletenpapier haben manchmal gefehlt. Frühstück normal wie in jedem Hostal. Internetzugang sehr gut.
