Nov 02, 2009 - Shithole
Oct 26, 2009 - HORRIBLE directions - walked around for HOURS looking for this place. It smelled musty, and was dirty!! I did not have a blanket, just a sheet, and froze at night. There was no toilet paper.
Oct 26, 2009 - very upset with the service, the staff so unhelpful.. we were very cold, they refuse to give more blankets or turn the heater on... very dissapointed , and on top of everything, very expensive.. not reccomendable, at all..
Oct 21, 2009 - Although I forgot my identity card there they didn't gave it back. It's declared stolen now by the police. Very unfriendly - except the cleaning-people. No light in the kitchen/the terrace -> impossible to use after 6 am. Don't go there!
Oct 17, 2009 - The wifi didnt work, I didnt get a blanket until the second night, I was accused of not paying when I had and only had a cold shower.
Oct 16, 2009 - You'll find it difficult to find somewhere cheaper in the middle of Venice. For the price paid and the location right in the middle of Venice you couldn't expect any more. Clean, reasonably recently renovated, en-suite bathroom in our private room. For our one night stay, perfect!
Oct 15, 2009 - Located on a loud street. Very dirty (especially the bathroom). We've got a lot of FLEABITES during the night - so we had to clean every bit of our luggage :( I do not recommend the B&B Rota
P.S.: They do not mention the coupons you need for breakfast (you get them in the morning from 8 o'clock on)!
Oct 11, 2009 - great place! thanks a lot!
Oct 09, 2009 - This place was totally unacceptable for the price. The room was a monk cell over an incredibly noisy ristorante below, unless you like to stay up until 2 a.m.listening to clinking and yelling. There wasnt even a mirror in this cell. The staff was unhelpful and surly. My husband, who is in his 70s, and I dragged our suitcases up 3 flights of steps as 2 young men who "worked" there did nothing to help. The best moment was when a young man asked, "Where is the breakfast?" Heck, there was hardly soap or toilet paper. Who would want to eat at this place? I heartily advise any adult over 25 to avoid this joint like the plague.
Oct 09, 2009 - This was my first hostel experience, so I was a little concerned to see that there was only one bathroom. It was a battle to find it unoccupied each day. There was a small leak in it someplace, leading to a puddle under the sink. I does have kitchen you can cook in, and there is a little market across the street from it, so you won't go hungry. I heard there was supposed to be a free coffee offered by a nearby cafe for hostellers here, but I didn't hear it from the staff. They were friendly, but didn't fill us in on their policies or perks. I don't see why they call themselves a B&B when they don't have a breakfast on-site. I would probably stay there again, though, because the location is within walking distance of the tourist sites and the area is hopping at night.
