Nov 14, 2009 - we had a 6bed-room and every day a woman came to clean it,which was pretty good.in the hostel there's a bar and a relly cheap phone sistem.we don't know if the breakfast was included in the price,though..anyway i thought it was really good!

May 06, 2009 - Convenient location for travellers near Ost bahnhof. Well maintained Hostel rooms seemed newly painted & furnished. Very poor breakfast not worth 6 Euros. Can hardly sleep on the very bad pillows provided. Unsatisfactory single lift insufficient for more than a 100 rooms available. But ultimately worth Value for money.
Mar 08, 2009 - Helpful staff, clean enough room. I had a single with a bathroom. It was fine. Location isn't the best for doing things in Berlin Mitte but the hostel is on an easy bus line, almost to the door. I'm a middle-aged woman and I felt fine getting off the bus in the dark in early-mid evening. I don't know what it;s like at midnight, though.I walked to Potsdamer platz once--about 2 or so easy miles.
The building itself is a concrete hulk with that eastern bloc ambience, which means it has less than zero charm. Also, although smoking is not allowed inside, the hallways smell a lot like cigarette smoke.
The neighborhood is technically a bad one, but it's interesting. If you walk down the smaller street on the side of the hostel you'll find a little convenience-like store on the left and kitty-corner from that a small place that sells little sandwiches, coffee,fruit, and has a few places to sit Farther down that sreet, about a half mile, is a larger street with all sorts of cheap restaurants, mostly Chinese and Turkish.
Feb 24, 2009 - Very nice, helpful and friendly staff, apart of the fact of having a great location.
Dec 18, 2008 - The service which was provided at the information desk was very pleasing and helpful. The staffs were very cooperative.
Jul 27, 2008 - Our booking got lost and the staff was not very helpfull in helping us book a new room.
Apr 29, 2008 - The hotel staff put me with the Hostel part on my second day and that was a BIG mistake. I am not a teacher nor am I a student. The night person did not do anything to correct this error and this is why I have given such a low rating. I felt strongly because I am not German I was treated like a second class person:
