Nov 08, 2009 - Situated near a Skytrain station, closer to the center (Siam) then all the Kao San Road backpackers - but maybe slightly more expensive. Nice people at the reception.

Aug 10, 2009 - the hostel is run by a very friendly owner and is situated well a few meters from a lively main street with lots of stalls. nearby is the night market and fun quarter. you can hear the mrt train quite loudly but it doesn't run all night.

Dec 28, 2008 - The YHA Bangkok Downtown, is a good hostel to stay especially for those backpackers. However, basic personal necessities have to be prepared by travellers. I would stay in YHA again for the easy access in Bangkok.

Sep 25, 2005 - Hostel is conveniently located and staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and clean with superb air conditioning. The only downside is that the shared bathrooms aren't very clean and not all toilets flush properly. If that doesn't bother you, then this is a great place to stay.
