Apr 07, 2009 - Everything perfect, nice room, breakfast bread and marmalade as well as cornflakes. Nice stuff. Very good position, Metro in front of the house, opposite of calle the funcarral.You just must not mind that there are a lot of prostitutes in front of the entrance and along the street.

Cleanliness: Beautiful old building with old windows, floors doors ect. clean where it counts (washrooms, showers, sheets)
Staff: FANTASTIC!! Very personable and gives great tips on local sights/cheap food
Position: INCREDIBLE, on the corner of two major streets walk ANYWHERE. Never need metro. Lovely street views. One of the streets is whore central, perfectly safe, very touristy.
Fun Factor: Bar downstairs very welcoming and good to chill and mingle any time of day!
Personality: Old building with lovely architecture, beautiful windows ect.
WARNINGS: No WIFI in rooms only in commons (unless you steal from neighbors), FREEZING in rooms so always wear layers, can't have friends in rooms, and breakfast hours are SUPER strict.
Jan 12, 2009 - The hostel is very well located but is not so funny... The apartment was cool but there was no locker :( I went to Huertas and it was better I think!
Jan 11, 2009 - Very good place to stay - in the center of city center - literary 25m from the metro station, nice staff, good breakfast. They gave our places in dormitory to another group of ppl so we got the double room in the same price - so it was very good! :)i recomand this hostel.

Nov 07, 2008 - The position is excellent: The hostel is 5/10 min walk from all the most interesting museums/attractions in Madrid. It is just in front to an underground station.
The staff is very nice and very helpful (I had a small emergency and they have been very very nice and helpful to me).
Even if beds and rooms are not very new, it's quite clean and rooms are kept warm in winter time. I think that for a 3/4 days holiday it's perfect.

Oct 23, 2008 - The hostel is very good located in the heart of Madrid, next to the best places to go out! I really enjoyed it. It is very simple, but more than enough when you go to know the city and be there only to sleep and spend some time!
If I go back to Madrid I sure will be there again!!!
Sep 04, 2008 - Nice hotel. Price more or less. Good bar and great breakfast. Noisy street, but just in the heart of Madrid. Recommended for heavy sleepers.
