Jan 15, 2009 - it's the best expierence i've ever had in hostel. the stuffs are really really kind and it's clean. located direct by the station, i had a great time there
Nov 18, 2008 - if want pompei, circumvesubiana is 5 minutes walking straigh. Is in really nice position to arrive by train to naples, or to let quicky the city to rome, firence, all the south... etc. The staff are really gentley and want you to enjoy the city. It´s a hostel, a real hostel made to backpakers who wants a walk open.
Sep 21, 2008 - The hostel is right infront of the main train station on the other side of the square - the instructions given when booking with HostelsClub make you go around the block for no reason. Close to the station in a quite shadowy, dark, dirty part of the town. The hostel itself is excellent, staff very helpful and nice and always warning you about being careful with your handbag etc. Wouldn't go out alone during the evenings. During the day the street is filled with street vendors selling everything one might need in life. Two of the worlds best original pizza places (pizza originated in Naples) are just few blocks away - excellent pizza and good prices (Marghareta pizza 3,80€ in Sept.2008).
Aug 27, 2008 - cheap, near to the old city center and clean. kind people.
situation is not so safety at night, but I had no problems!
Aug 22, 2008 - night guy was a bit dodgy ....
Nov 05, 2007 - The other shower rooms looked quite alright but ours had mouldy corners all over. The room we stayed in was only tiny. Wasn't really enough to store the luggage and move around. Otherwise just alright for a hostel in Naples.
Sep 12, 2007 - Altogether the hostel can be recommended. It's a nice and clean hostel with very friendly staff and it's very close to the central station as well as to the old town. Some point of critique: you have to have a deep sleep or you shouldn't open the window (very loud outside all day and most of the night). The common kitchen/room is closed at 11pm. And if you want to stay out late, you shouldn't be afraid to walk home through the red-light-district that is around Piazza Garibaldi / Mancini. But as said above: all in all it's ok.
Aug 19, 2007 - Very good place to stay in and staff are very nice.
Jul 26, 2007 - If you are traveling by train this is a great hostel. it is within a short walking distance from the train station (and the train station to get off at is the Napoli Centrale Station) it is where that Garibaldi monument is. Naples is very fast paced and the people really do drive like they are pissed at the world (watch out). the area is what is know by everyone else as shady but once you find the hostel and get in, you are completely safe. The shower/bathroom is shared but it is one of the best showers i´ve ever been in, especially in a hostel. We stayed in a room with a nice window with security shutters, there was a bed for two (me and my girlfriend) and payed approx. 50 euro. I thoguht it was a great hostel. The breakfast was better than expected. blood orange juice, corn flakes cereal, bread, a george foreman type of grill to toast the bread, instant coffee with kettle and stove for hot water. Nice veiw from breakfast room of a street that converted from a prostitution market into a clothing market over night. The man that runs the hostel over night is very into politics. He loves to talk with anyone about government and how things should be and how they are worldwide. He was a nice guy. Over all, I would say it is a good choice, especially if your doing the Eurail Pass thing.
