Sep 22, 2008 - Lo que mas me llamo la atencion es la falta de limpieza. No me refiero solo a la habitacion, quitando las mantas que olian mal, estaba pasable... las zonas comunes, duchas y baños tambien dejaban bastante que desear. Las duchas tenian solamente cortinillas de plastico bastante sucias y ni siquiera habia perchas donde colgar las toallas. Por cierto si vais llevaros toallas propias porque te dan solo una, y pequeñisima!!. Lo unico bueno era la zona, muy tranquila y a 2 paradas de barco de Piazza San Marco. Sé que venecia es una ciudad cara pero me ha parecido un robo pagar 60€ por noche en habitacion doble sin baño privado de esas caracteristicas. He estado mas veces en Venecia, en otros hostales, no mucho mas caros que este, y la relacion calidad-precio era mil veces mejor.

Aug 31, 2008 - Traumhafte Lage am Giudecca Canal mit Blick auf den Prospekt von Venedig, beim Frühstück oder Abendessen in den umliegenden Bars. Spaßfaktor für Romaniker: das Treiben der Einheimischen ohne den üblichen Tourismusrummel zu beobachten. Ein ausführlicher Blick in Palladios Redentore kann auch nicht schaden.

Aug 15, 2008 - The location wasnt central.. while that seems like a bad thing, it was actually its best asset. giudecca is a seperate island from the main area of venice, however the boat transit is very convenient (though crowded) and giudecca seems more charming than the touristy areas of venice. the hostel wasnt the cleanest ever, but still acceptable. the staff was friendly. the hostel and giudecca are both very quiet at night. if you are looking for more excitement, stay closer to the city center.
Aug 14, 2008 - It is hot in the room as it is not well ventilated and the pipe running from the basin seemed to be blocked, water takes a long time to be drained from the basin.
Aug 14, 2008 - I didn't expect that I could find such comfortable hostel in Venice as Jan Palach. The location and the atmosphere are very nice. Not so much people staying in the hostel and the price is adequate. Next time of my visiting there I will use again your service. Thank you for offering me a wonderful night. Aug 12, 2008 - I booked four nights and ended up checking out after one. I've been away for a week and people still comment when I show them how bad the bug bites are on my chest. Also on a residential island that requires a 6.50 Euro ferry or risking a 33 Euro fine. Had a kitchen, cheap coffee and laundry, and a friendly staff though no hot water. Maybe if you're staying with friends and bring mosquito nets.
