Aug 15, 2008 - The location wasnt central.. while that seems like a bad thing, it was actually its best asset. giudecca is a seperate island from the main area of venice, however the boat transit is very convenient (though crowded) and giudecca seems more charming than the touristy areas of venice. the hostel wasnt the cleanest ever, but still acceptable. the staff was friendly. the hostel and giudecca are both very quiet at night. if you are looking for more excitement, stay closer to the city center.
Aug 14, 2008 - It is hot in the room as it is not well ventilated and the pipe running from the basin seemed to be blocked, water takes a long time to be drained from the basin.
Aug 14, 2008 - I didn't expect that I could find such comfortable hostel in Venice as Jan Palach. The location and the atmosphere are very nice. Not so much people staying in the hostel and the price is adequate. Next time of my visiting there I will use again your service. Thank you for offering me a wonderful night. Aug 12, 2008 - I booked four nights and ended up checking out after one. I've been away for a week and people still comment when I show them how bad the bug bites are on my chest. Also on a residential island that requires a 6.50 Euro ferry or risking a 33 Euro fine. Had a kitchen, cheap coffee and laundry, and a friendly staff though no hot water. Maybe if you're staying with friends and bring mosquito nets.
Aug 05, 2008 - This is a really clean,nice hostel, except for one moldy shower curtain. Has a real nice kitchen. The best part of the hostel is the fact that it isnt located on the main isalnd San Marco, it is on Guidecca, a beautiful residential yet lively isalnd. It was nice to get away from the tourist. Highly recommended
Aug 01, 2008 - The hostel is good and clean,but rooms should at least have a fan in the Summer because they are BOILING! Kitchen could be kept a bit better but on the whole I would recommend the place!
Jul 22, 2008 - Centrally located and only a few minutes by waterbus to Piazzo S. Marco. Rooms, showers, and toilettes are quite dirty. Staff is friendly, but not very familiar with the area and also not with the hostel itself.
Jul 22, 2008 - very cute hostel, wich take a wonderful place in Giudecca island.just in front of a Vaporetto station. and the òost important is there you may enjoy the redentor sight in the lagun ! have a good trip ...!
