Oct 01, 2009 - The hostel was a very good value for money place to stay in Cairo. The staff is very helpful and friendly all the time. If you want, they organize you some tours through Egypt for a very good price. What we really liked is that the staff and the guests are like a big group of friends. That's make the hostel very cosy.

Jul 08, 2009 - Ok so Regent House was a really nice place to stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, affordable, exceedingly hospitable and welcoming, as most Egyptians. Atef and Omar were really nice, complete jokers! It felt like a family home once you get to know them, chatting in Arabic. It just depends how you are - if you are friendly, the kindness will be returned. The location is very useful, right in the middle of downtown Cairo just off Talaat Harb - some rooms are a little noisy, so bring earplugs.
The rooms were adequate, with fans in all of them, and breakfast included.
The tour around Egypt they offered was brilliant, and I highly recommend it, especially the trip to the oasis (Al Bahariya) where we slept in the desert, and the 2 night Felucca trip sailing down the Nile.
Apr 22, 2009 - I liked the welcome. I just arrived in time after the airport pickup to join the lunch table. The hotel staff invited me to eat with them in arabian style, that means, evrybody on the table is sharing the plates.
The room was spacious with sunlight and quiet, probably one of the better ones. Be careful to book any trips, they tend to overcharge and give you wrong informations on the alternatives.
The air polution outside in the Talab Harb district is incredible.

Mar 25, 2009 - it was a very good tour, our guide was really nice and they were very punctual when picking us up. the pople in the hotel are very friendly and always ready to help. we enjoyed the trip a lot.
