It was very dirty, the owner was so rude, and the reception was moved a few weeks before our stay to a different building, so if you need some assistance or questions, you need to go 3 streets away!??? I don't recomend it to anybody!

I liked this hostel and made a few friends too. Everything was within walking distance. The bathrooms were crappy but other than that no complaints.

The location is good. But the hostel was incredibly dirty. Our room was not even cleaned upon arrival, there were a lot of things on the floor, like bottle tops, hairs, papers etc. When we complained at the reception they only said it was cleaned... Luckily the following day our room got cleaned, but still the bathrooms were very dirty. We didn't expect any luxury but at least it should be clean.

It was very inexpensive and a cool place to stay. The beds were comfortable. The staff members were awesome.

O local indicado pelas imagens, não foi o que fiquei, fui trasferida para um residencia universitária, sem nenhuma previa informação a respeito (isso porque o hostel esta em reforma). Não havia papel higienico nos banheiros e nem local para guardar as malas.

Останахме много доволни от хостела и местоположението му - в идеалния център на града. Единствената ни забележка е към персонала на рецепцията - не особено услужливи.

Es un buen lugar, algo ruidoso,pero te atienden bien. No me gusto que habiando reservado habitacion para 2 personas me enviaran a otro hostel a 2 cuadras de este,pero por lo demas bien!

Good: Good location, good prices, the building itself is decent.
Bad: When we arrived at the hostel, we were required to sign a paper agreeing to the hostels rules, which was not stated before but we couldn't get out of without not staying there and losing our deposit (which may be illegal!). Though we'd booked the hostel with a friend, we were sent to another building (they are allowed to send you to other nearby hostels according to their rules). There they didn't have toilet paper, soap, and they only had one individual toilet and one individual shower for the whole floor. The hostel attendants spoke no Spanish, and depending on the person, quite limited English (but ideal if you're fluent in Polish!). We also arrived at 13:00 instead of at the 14:00 check-in time and were charged an extra 2 euro per backpack or piece of luggage to leave it at the hostel, and we weren't even allowed inside the building. The attendant also continually came and spyed on us in the rooms. You must leave the hostel between 11 and 2pm even if you have a multi-day booking. A friend also decided to take an unoccupied bed in a dorm room instead of his own because his was broken, but was continually yelled at by the staff though they could have simply changed the bed on the list that they carried around to inspect where people were sleeping. All in all, one of the worst hostel atmospheres in Western Europe.
The owner's reply:
Dear Guest! We give you all the information you need by check in as well but here are some corrections and explanations: When you make a booking you also agree that the 10% paid ahead is nonrefundable.
The other building also belongs to Coco Loco which is across the square. Soup, towel and toilet paper are replaced daily. You do not have to leave the rooms in that part of the hostel for cleaning time. There are many other bathrooms and toilets available in the entire building. We don't spy on guests, we need to know which beds are really taken, thinking about the arriving guests. Probably you would be upset if someone would be sleeping in your bed where we send you.
Check in starts at 14:00 so we give you an opportunity to use our storage service if you arrive earlier but you are not obligated to pay for the storage it's just an option. Staff does not yell at people, that would be rude. We hope you had a nice trip back home or to your next destination. Regards, Staff

It was the worst experience we had. After we got to our hostel (which was ok) and paid for everything, we were told there were no more rooms left in there, so we had to go to another place a few blocks away. The problem? There, we had no reception, no staff, no kitchen, no common room at all and many problems kept happening all the time (such as having someone else sleeping in your bed, people yelling all night long, etc.) To make it worse, there was no phone in the original place, so we had to go there everytime - including when it was so cold that we need extra blankets, late at night (and were charged E$ 5,00 for that, by some really rude staff). Honestly? Save the trouble! There are many good places around there... and if only we could have our money back, we would have gone away imediately!

Me he espedado allí una noche y me ha gustado, habitaciones muy limpias, un solo baño para todo el hostel del edif. 12 piso 4, que también se hallaba muy limpio y cómodo;agua caliente,papel de baño. Y los chic@s de mi habitación er excelentes personas. Ademas el hostal esta muy pero muy bien ubicado y a un precio realmente increíble para su centrada ubicación. 100% recomendado! Mas aun si eres joven!

nao gostei do hostel, o fato de sermos obrigados a deixar o local das 11:00 da manha ás 14:00 causa desconforto, o local é muito pequeno,a cozinha tambem, não existe um lugar onde se possa deixar suas malas após o check-oult,as camas sao muito barulhentas mal podesse virar para o lado sem acordar os demais hospedes,falta organizaçao.Fiquei muito decepcionada com o hostel,não o recomendaria a ninguem! apesar de possuir uma excelente localização!

Reservei o hostel e cheguei por volta de 01 a.m. Quando cheguei na porta do hostel havia uma solicitação para ligar pra um número caso chegasse após às 0 hs! Ligamos insistentemente e tentamos encontrar um responsável pelo hostel mas nada. No final das contas depois de muito cansadas e sem forças às 4 hs da madrugada fomos para outro hostel, mesmo após termos pago 10% para a reserva do Coco Loco. Ou seja uma falata de consideração com seus clientes!

Overall I likes this hostel, but there were not enough bathrooms, the mandatory leave time between 11 and 2 is ridiculous and the kitchen area is too small to have a community feel in the hostel among residents.

The best of this hostel is the distance to the main attractions. It is on the exit of the metro on Plaza de Espana station, on less than 10 min walking to Puerta del Sol, on 10 min to el Templo de Debod and just on the main street Gran Via. Near the entrance there is Starbucks and across the street there is Museo del Jamon where you can eat cheap and tasty and it is perfect for your morning coffee. The staff were really friendly and helpful, they know better English than Spanish - so it is perfect for international companies. The hostel is located in some apartments in a central building on Gran Via, so you can sleep on first or third floor. There are two lifts. The rooms are full with beds (I couldn't believe that they can fit 6 beds in such a small room) and you hardly have a place for your luggage, but it is ok if your main purpose is just sleeping. The bathrooms were really clean, they clean them every morning between 11 AM and 2 PM when you should be out of the hostel. I spent some nights there during the summer and there were air-conditioning and there were no problems on sleeping. There is a noise from the main street but you can sleep without a problem.

A localizacao e otima, mas o hostel muito precario. O atendimento deixa a desejar visivelmente, nao tem locker que implicou num quase roubo da minha bolsa e eu vi baratas no local.

super zentrale Lage, unabhängigkeit da man einen eigenen schlüssel bekomment und somit noch leicheter kommen und gehen kann, wann man will.
zimmer sind ziemlich klein, aber in madrid, sollte man eh ncih schlafen :)

Está bien ubicado cerca del centro histórico de madrid...pero la seguridad está deficiente y el staff del hostel se retira a a las 12 además hay que desocupar el hostal de 11 a 2 por limpieza

L'ostello si trova sulla gran via e a due passi dalla fermata della metropolitana, un ottimo punto per spostarsi. Le stanze sono piccole e con molti letti e ci sono due bagni che no nonostante il numero di persone sono abbastanza puliti. Il personale conosce abbastanza bene l'inglese ma non l'italiano e il francese. E' stata una bella esperienza che rifarei volentieri.

расположение отличное в самом центре,прямо рядом в метро.
коллектив очень дружелюбный.всё расскажет,подскажет.прямо на другой стороне улицы есть ирландский паб где можно не плохо позавтракать за 1евро и очень не плохо за 2 евро..хостл расположен в очень хорошем доме,с чистым красивым подъездом.
единственная трудность-супермаркеты,в основном во всех близ лежащих магазинах китайская еда...
в хостеле нельзя пить алкоголь и курить!!!
в остольном всё прекрасно,кухня уютная,всегда можно попить бесплатный чай или кофе...
вообщем и целом осталась довольна,вернусь сюда снова.!!

The kitchen from the hostel has a really weird smell, im glad i didn't have to cook there. And when we arrived we had this bad reception from a guy that works there. The only good thing about this hostel is the price, but I don't recommend it.
