Room types
In this hostel you will find 150 beds in 44 single, double and shared rooms. The hostel has allo 8 studios, which are perfect for business traveler. The hostel is also equipped to host families and groups. Two rooms are accessible for the handicapped. The whole building is non-smoking area. Smoking is permitted in the courtyard. All rooms are equipped with a washbasin and a locker for every bed.
Location and surroundings
The YMCA Hostel Basel is located only about 300 meters away from the SBB Basel railstation, in a peaceful back street with courtyard. Tram No. 16 connects directly to the city center.

i only stayed one night & there was absolutely nothing to complain about. next time i'm in basel i will stay again at YCMA.
there is a sign that says they will clean between 11 and 1 pm but they didn't clean...anyway it was not that ugly.
The accomodation was really great and for so low price. Everything was clean and odouros. I was sleeping in the room for 8 people. Very kind was to receive "home slippers" by lodging. Personal was willing and pleasant. They helped me with making plan for my sight-seeing tour in Basel and surrounding. The posibility to use the internet is favourable too. And well idea was to reserve special room for luggages (when we arrive to early or will leave later afternoon - as a possiblity to let them on this place and only came and pick them up. The location for YMCA is few step from railwaistation. Thank you very much for your service. I´d like to recomment this hostel to wverybody who would like to stay in Basel :o)

great hostel really clean and they give you a towel whilst your there and a pair of YMCA slippers to keep. worth staying in. free internet too
