For the cheap price it's great. It's central, easy to find from the train station and the staff are very friendly, especially Archie, who's always down for a game of table tennis. The sheets were clean despite what other reviews might say. The main downside was the dusty floor.

È in assoluto il posto più sporco, decrepito, brutto in cui ho dormito. Igiene scarsissimo, pulizia pessima. Mai visto in Italia una situazione del genere.

Archie's place is perfect for the price and location, but definitely be willing to deal with a little uncleanliness. It's nothing you can't deal with, however. My bed was bed-bug free. The staff was helpful, and if you're chill this is the right place.

2012 10/13〜17 連泊
ベネチアのサンタルチア駅から近い所にあり、スーパーも徒歩10分のところにあります。また、部屋も広く、
アーキーさんからも日本語のベネチアマップがもらえます。
(ベネチアの物価で考えて）ドミトリー20ユーロはお手頃だと思いますが、ホットシャワー9分1ユーロは連泊すると、結構痛手と
なります。9分ってどうにかならんかね、と思いつつも実際には30分使えた日もありました。
さすがラテンだわ〜イタリアは。
余談ですが、サンマルコ広場に行くまえに、スーパーで安いパンを買ってハトにあげましょう。
きっと面白い写真が取れるはずです。

La peggior topaia in cui abbia mai messo piede.....neanche in India ho trovato delle bettole cosi' disastrate e sporche, sporchissima.
Il ragazzo e' gentile per carita', ma niente asciugamani e per l'acqua calda dovevi andare a chiamarlo...
Poi pero' c'e' il pianoforte(?!)
L'unico vantaggio e'l'accesso a internet gratis. Ma noi non ci siamo lavati per due giorni e stavamo tutto il tempo fiori per non tornare li' dentro finche' non eravamo cosi' stanchi da crollare dal sonno. E troppo caro per tutto questo degrado.

スタッフが非常にフレンドリーで気持ちがいいです。
日本語での観光案内付き手作り地図はとても参考になりました。
清潔感には若干欠けますが、気にするほどのものでもありません。
wi-fiは繋がりますが、かなり遅い。温水シャワーが有料など、マイナス面もありますが、駅から近い上に見つけやすいため、ベネチアに何泊かする予定なら一泊目はこちらにすることをお勧めします。

Non vi aspettate nulla di più di uno squallido posto SPORCO, con mobilio vecchio ed inappropriato. Tutto è impolverato e non mi sorprenderebbe la vista di un bel topo che attraversa le camerate.
Le condizioni di alloggio sono disumane e la dignità della persona viene messa a dura prova.

Dreckig und fleckig und verrostet.
Bin nicht pingelig aber die sanitären Anlagen waren echt eklig. 8 min warm Duschen 1€.
Bringt lieber ein eigenen Schlafsack mit.

Das Hostel ist extrem dreckig und heruntergekommen. Wer bucht sollte bedenken, dass man für 8 min warm duschen 1 € bezahlen muss, ein laken um sich zuzudecken kostet ebenfalls 1 €, aber kalt duschen ist gratis^^

restroom definatly needs a start up clearance!! The shower has a urinal included which is stained just awefull, the rooms are shabby, just the bed was clean and ok. The hostel itself was in a bad shape but the staff was really nice. For us as backpackers from Germany there were better accomodations for one night- this wasnt an opportunity!- youth hostel for the same money!!

Although very well placed in Venice, the hostel is the dirtiest I've ever been in. Everything gives the impression it has never been cleaned: the floor, the carpets, the walls, the furniture. Only one sheet is included in the price. With that you get a pillow and a blanket. The blankets look as if they have never been washed up and in order to get another sheet to protect yourself from touching them directly, you have to pay extra. The worst part is the bathroom thought. 2 toilets and one shower they never clean, for the whole hostel. If you go in you should consider taking some kind of bathing shoes and you should never look up while inside. Finally, there is no possibility of a hot shower after 20:30.
It is indeed cheap accommodation but I had never thought they could allow people to pay for living in such a messed up place.

non andateci, è una topaia!! mai vista una cosa simile. sarebbe da chiamare l'asl e farla chiudere all'istante. Non so come faccia ad avere il permesso per restare aperto un posto del genere, e come possa essere nella lista degli ostelli di hostles club.
Le foto che vedete dal sito sono persino belle rispetto a quello che vi aspetta. Vi dico solo: quintali e quintali di polvere (per chi soffre di asma o allergie è assolutamente sconsigliato), bagni puzzolenti e sporchi, specchi in cui non vedrete neanche la vostra faccia, tappeti mai sbattuti, lenzuola sporche, doccia calda a pagamento ed inesistente nella stanza privata da 4. Abbiamo dovuto dormire nei sacchi a pelo perché avevamo schifo a toccare qualsiasi cosa in quel posto (e preciso che siamo ragazzi che si sanno adattare). Dire che la strada è più pulita di quell'ostello non è per niente esagerato.
Non do neanche un euro a questo alloggio, 23 euro una notte è davvero un furto. L'unica nota positiva (se proprio vogliamo trovarci qualcosa di positivo) è il free wi-fi.
In conclusione: NON ANDATECI, sconsigliato anche per i più temerari. Spendete qualche euro in più e andate in un ostello, non in una bettola/topaia!
Spero vivamente che Archie's House chiuda al più presto!

Un lugar repugnante. Jamás he estado en un hostal tan absolutamente asqueroso como este. La habitación tenía muebles antiguos y viejos, las sábanas estaban sucias, las paredes y suelo manchadas y el baño tenía pinta de no haberse limpiado en la vida. El peor hostel en el que me he alojado nunca.

Es el peor hostal que he estado con diferencia, y he estado en unos pocos. Todo muy sucio, sabanas sucias, pelos, pelusas, arañas. tanto es asi que teniamos reservadas 2 noches y la segunda no aguantamos.
No se lo recomiendo a nadie...

located at a very strategic and nice area...close to attractions, restaurants, souvenirs shops. The owner & receptionist are very friendly. The negative points however are about the CLEANLINESS!!! toilets are filthy, curtains are dusty!

It was a horrible experience!!! we stayed in room nr. 10 (doomed) with 4 beds (1 was a ex-hospital bed), it was extremelly dirty (never ever cleaned), it smelled very bad, the bathroom was like the one in trainspotting-horrible- the shower came out of the ceiling directlly!!!To take a warm shower you had to pay 1 euro and it lasted 8 minutes exactly.Very dusty , messy ! a nightmare! don't go there!

Non andateci assolutamente...l ostello è sporchissimo , fatiscente, non si può arrivare dopo le otto e mezza sennò ti cancellano la prenotazione. Non è possibile fare la doccia calda dopo le 8 e mezzo perchè la reception è chiusa ed è ha pagamento 1 euro per otto minuti. Assolutamente sconsigliato. Prezzo veramente alto per lo squallore. L unica nota positiva che mi viene in mente è il wi fi.

Archie's house está muy bien situado y tanto el padre como el hijo son muy buena gente.
El sitio se nota que está viejo, eso no es un problema, pero está sucio, bastante sucio.
Eso sí, las camas son cómodas y si sólo quieres dormir y no gastarte mucho es el sitio indicado.

I love this place, its so perfectly placed in the center of the island. There is no lock out so when you go get lost in Venice there's no problems. Archie and his sons are a huge help. it is the most basic of basic places and you get nothing but a bed and toilet services. still cant knock it.

Was apparently the hit by a bomb in the 1st world war,and I'm not sure if it's ever been repaired or cleaned since... Altho, it is the cheapest place, and in a good location, but is just not good in any other way

Sitio excesivamente caro para lo parecido que es a un almacén de basura. Telarañas por todos sitios y para ir al baño había que ser valiente.

lovely location, cheap, some interesting travellers there. The rooms are nice, a little old but fine. The staff are very friendly and the internet connection is good. The shower and toilet work fine, however the bathrooms are old and are very dirty. for one or two night its perks outweight the negatives, but if you have a minor phobia of unclean bathrooms dont go here!!

A great location on the main island, not far from the station. Quite shabby and dirty (bathroom in particular), plus you have to pay to have a warm shower. Our room, though, was spacious and comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly (although the map they gave us was a bit hard to use - photocopy). We enjoyed playing the piano.

el sitio es perfecto si no te pretendes gastar mucho dinero y estar en el centro de venecia. Pero la limpieza y el mantenimiento del lugar... pfff... podrian limpiar alguna vez y cambiar las sabanas

é veramente una bettola! è un luogo così fatiscente, sia nelle parti comuni che nelle camere, da mettere a disagio il cliente! Tappeti pulciosi, bagno sporco, vecchio e puzzolente di muffa, pareti con l'intonaco scrostato, copridivani mezzi marci...manca davvero il risptto per il cliente che paga!!

es una mierda, mal educados, lo peor que he visto ahorrense dinero y no contraten aqui, el dueño es despota, irritante, etc.

Rent,nja. Men det är vad man kan förvänta sig av ett hostel i den prisklassen. Läget är helt perfekt. Personalen trevlig. Jag som är mycket resvan och min mamma,60 och förstagångsluffare;) stortrivdes! Men som sagt,det var inte för att det var så rent och fräscht :)

Very good location, very nice people,not very clean. I was there a week ago and I can say my room was clean. The rest of the hostal was tidy and I think that it's one of the reason it seems cleanliness. Archie and his son are very nice people and helpful.If you don't have to live there and only stay for some nights,it's an hostal with a good price in a very good location with nice people. And if you want you can play the piano ha!

i saw a few bad reviews and i disageree with them. for the price i was extremely happy with our room. sheets were clean. the bathroom not so much but it was livable. there wasn't much of a kitchen but a fridge, toaster, microwave and odd end stuff. the one staff is ori and he is very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable of venice. i would stay there again if i went back.

muy buena ubicacion , esta cerca a la estacion de trenes y autobuses , y cerca al vaporetto , el personal muy amable , conoci gente interesante aki , lo unico malo es la limpieza , esta un poco descuidado , pero el precio es muy comodo , lo recomiendo si van de mochileros .

The hostel is generally dirty and stinky. The only washroom and shower are disgusting. You can get a lot better for a little more money. No wi-fi even if they claim to have it. Try to avoid this hostel.

une très bonne situation dans la ville s'est hélas son seul point positif;
un très gros point négatif s est l insalubrité de cet auberge (poussière épaisse sur les meubles rideau lavabo sale ...)Le gérant ne prends que l argent liquide pas de système carte bleue.On devrait lui envoyer l'hygiène.

Si una palabra define este 'hotel' es inmundicia. Allí no se limpia nunca, hay clavos en las paredes, sillones polvorientos, techos con humedades... Además hay que pagar 1€ por una ducha caliente en un baño que está dentro de otra habitación, sin mampara (se empapa todo el baño cuando alguien se ducha). Por suerte las sábanas parecían limpias. Eso sí, Archie es muy simpático y el hotel está bien situado, lejos de la Pza. San Marco pero muy cerca de la estación de tren.
En resumen, está muy bien si se va en plan mochilero-poco escrupuloso (porque además es de lo más barato en Venecia), pero en mi opinión merece la pena pagar un poco más por un techo decente.

汚いことを覚悟していきましょう。掃除してる気配が全くありません。場所、スタッフ、wifiは良かったです。汚くても安い方がいい人にはおすすめします！
