for backpackers who love nature and who are fond of adventures. Sitting in a slope of Tungurahua Volcano, the hostel offers a perfect view of the stunning view of the landscape. Only three blocks away is downtown Banos with its restaurants, pubs, and markets. Six blocks walk away is the bus station linking the area to the rest of the city.

Los Pinos consists of four buildings spread in the sprawling property. One of the buildings is composed of a reception area with a comfortable lounge area that features table games, a pool table, a cbale TV and DVD. There is a also a small corner for the library. The kitchen is also found here which is fully equipped and can be used by anyone who prefers to cook. There are tables and chairs to relax and share great times with fellow backpackers. Two internet connected computers are available and there is Wi-Fi within the area.

The two cabins houses five rooms on the ground floor each can sleep three people and another six rooms on the top floor that can hold four people each. Each room is carefully designed for optimum comfort and furnished with solid beds with new mattresses. There is a desk and a chair at a corner and a wardrobe for clothing. The private bathroom is well furnished as well and is designed to complement the room’s theme.

Three dorms are located at the back that can hold six people each. Along that area is found a camping sit, a cafeteria as well as a relaxing massage room.

Before embarking on the much awaited trips, take breakfast outdoors while welcoming the cool breeze and enjoying the lovely sight of the falls, the mountains and the Tungurahua volcano. Upon return, you may relax at the lounge area, watch TV, or read a book. Then dine at the dining room that offers a stunning view of the Andes. Before retiring to bed, you may indulge yourself at the massage room and relieve those aching muscles then head on to your comfortable room and doze off to a good night sleep.

During lazy days, you may personally take care of your meals at the well equipped guest kitchen, check emails at the internet connected computers, or maybe chill out at the hammocks found all over the place. You can also go around the area and take a close look at the regional products on display that features Banos handicrafts,and other forms of art.
