Aciklama: The Agostiniani youth hostel situated in Lunigiana, a region which unites the beaches of Liguri and Tuscany with the towns and villages of the Appennines and Apuanes. This building whose structure dates back to 1336 can be admired by visitors while enjoying its wonder comforts, having been totally restored and modernized. This complex is situated in the internal part of this medieval town of Fivizzano, in the eastern Lunigiana, the natural point of access to the Tuscan Emilean Appennines, in the province of Massa-Carrara, a land of unusual, suggestive and characteristic Tuscan landscape. Fivizzano is known for the tranquility of its towns and its trekking paths which winds into one of the most fascinating areas of the north of Tuscany, characterized by the view of the Apuane Alps and the Appennine towns and villages. The hostel is easily reached by crossing Porta Sarzanese and Piazza Medicea is but a few steps away. This Tuscan jewel, the pride of Fivizzano, is situated on the ancient Byzantine Road that used to link Luni to Reggio Emilia, the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Po Valley (Pianura Padana). In the ecclesiastical Edifice dedicated to Saint John The Baptist one is reminded of the true origins of the ancient complex. The rooms are on the first and second floors and are provided with shared bathrooms. From Fivizzano and the Tuscan and Ligurian beaches can be easily reached as can the ski slopes of Cerreto Laghi.
